No. Friends and families of Bahá'ís who are not themselves members of the Baha’i Faith, regularly attend the School and are most welcome. "Consort with the followers of all religions in a spirit of friendliness and fellowship." — Bahá'u'lláh
Can I buy Bahá'í literature and prayer books at the school?
Yes. There is a Bookshop at the Summer School each year.
Is there a prayer room?
Prayer Room location(s) will be indicated in the Quick Reference Guide and with signs. We hope to provide two prayer rooms, one for general prayers and one designated for obligatory prayer.
If I am in need of medical assistance... ?
We do not provide medical care at the school except for basic first aid kit. All emergencies will be dealt with by calling emergency services. There is an Emergency Defibrillator at the school with a trained team. A mobile phone number will be made available at the school for use in case of Cardiac Emergency.
In case of all emergencies call 999 or 112.
If I have a problem with/need help with... ?
A lot of planning and hard work is gone into ensuring a smooth running of the school. However sometimes things can go wrong and unexpected events happen. In such cases, please bring the matter to the attention of the manager of the area concerned, the attention of the Chairman of the School or a member of the Summer School Team as soon as possible.
We would ask though that you do not ask the Kilkenny College staff to resolve it - it may be nothing to do with the College or we may already be aware of the problem and are in the process of resolving it.
We welcome your feedback that would assist us to improve the school every year, please email us at summerschoolqueries@bahai.ie with your thoughts, comments and recommendations.
